Galvanic Facial

A Non-Surgical Facelift: Part 1 of a 4-Part Series

Skin therapists call Galvanic Facial a ‘non-surgical facelift’ that gives you youthful skin without having to undergo any surgical procedure or poke needles into it. It usually involves using a low-level current to infuse medication into your skin.

The process is called “iontophoresis”, and it works by transporting electrically charged particles into the skin through gels that are negatively or positively charged.

Because of the galvanic current and positively charged product, anti-aging ingredients in the treatment gels deeply penetrate your skin and work harder at attacking and neutralizing free radicals.

In this process, galvanic current is used to soften and emulsify the keratin and sebum contained in your hair follicles. It is a way to prepare your skin for safe and painless removal of comedones. A manual extraction follows this procedure. This is meant for deep cleansing your skin and softening it at the same time.

Some of the benefits from a Galvanic Facial:

Not only does aging turn your skin into a canvas of fine lines, age spots, and wrinkles, it also makes it rough to touch.

A Galvanic Facial eases the facial tissues and muscles that get stiff with aging. When the muscles and tissues are relaxed, more blood and oxygen are carried to the skin cells. The pH balance of the skin is also restored, making it soft and smooth.

If you want to start the treatment it’s recommended to do so over a period of 8 weeks for the best results.

In our next article in the 4-part series, The Latest Skin Transformation Treatments:Leading The Way In Beauty Technology will focus on Lightwave LED Therapy, a non-invasive technology that delivers low-level pulses of light to the skin to produce healing and anti-aging effects.
